DIR-3 KYC FILING
“DIRECTOR KYC • DIN AUTHENTICATION • MCA V3 COMPLIANCE.”
Annual statutory verification under Rule 12A of the Companies Rules, 2014. Comprehensive filing support covering full e-Form DIR-3 KYC, OTP-based DIR-3 KYC-WEB, personal mobile/email validation, and deactivated DIN regularization.
*Annual statutory compliance due on or before 30 September for all individuals allotted a DIN on or before 31 March under Rule 12A of the Companies Act, 2013.
Due on or before 30 September. Delayed filing incurs a statutory government late fee of ₹5,000 per DIN.
30 SEPTEMBER DEADLINE & STATUTORY LATE FILING CONSEQUENCE
Under Rule 12A of the Companies (Appointment and Qualification of Directors) Rules, 2014, every person holding an active DIN must complete KYC verification on or before 30 September of every financial year:
Zero Government Late Fee
DIN remains continuously active and approved on the MCA portal. Enables uninterrupted filing of company annual returns (AOC-4, MGT-7) and signing of corporate resolutions.
₹5,000 Statutory Late Filing Fee
DIN is automatically marked as "Deactivated due to non-filing of DIR-3-KYC". Reactivation requires filing the pending KYC along with the statutory ₹5,000 government fee.
Clarification: The ₹5,000 fee is strictly a statutory government late fee levied by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs via the Bharatkosh portal, not a professional consultancy fee.
FULL DIR-3 KYC VS DIR-3 KYC-WEB
The MCA directorship framework provides two filing pathways based on your historical filing status and whether any personal contact information requires modification:
A standalone downloadable webform. Required for first-time KYC filers, or whenever updating personal mobile numbers, personal email addresses, or residential details. Requires director's Class 3 DSC and mandatory certification by a practicing CA/CS/CMA.
An instant browser-based service on MCA V3. Permitted only for directors who have already filed full e-Form DIR-3 KYC in a previous year and have zero changes in personal contact particulars. Authenticated via mobile and email OTP without DSC.
DIN VS PAN VS DSC VS CIN
Personal to the individual. Stays with you across all past, present, and future directorships.
Personal tax identity. Name and date of birth in MCA records must match the CBDT PAN database.
Cryptographic USB token used to legally sign the full e-Form DIR-3 KYC on the MCA portal.
Belongs to the corporate entity, not the director. DIN is independent of any company's CIN.
